Christian Jewelry

Being a teenager in today’s world is hard, much harder than it was fifty years ago. The pressure that society puts on these young people to conform to a mold, become perfect citizens and make a success of their life is incredible. In addition, they are expected to meet the requirements necessary to survive in a high school environment. Anyone who has ever been personally acquainted with a teenager knows that high schoolers are cruel. Very cruel. Anyone who does not conform to their ideas of what passes for popular is in for four of the most uncomfortable years of their life unless they are fortunate enough to transfer and start all over someplace else.

Is it any wonder, then, that most teenagers hesitate before doing or saying anything that is going to cause the critical eyes of their peers to fall upon them? Anything that could result in them being considered, judged and found wanting is generally something that the average teenager avoids with the longest pole they can find (after all, in a school filled with hundreds of students ten feet really isn’t enough of a buffer). It is far better for their mental health to follow the “rules”, blend in with the crowd and count down the days until graduation.

The problem lies in the fact that that is not how a true believer is expected to behave. They are expected to be able to smile in the face of adversity and defend their God and their beliefs to all of the doubters and non-believers who would test them. This is a task that is hard enough for an adult, who is already secure with the world and their place in it, but for a teenager still struggling with the demands of high school this is the stuff of which nightmares are made.

How can they combine the two? How can they show their faith without making themselves the object of their classmates ridicule? There are many who would say that wearing Christian clothing to school and attempting to show a cheerful heart is the way to go, and they would be right. Subtlety is the key, and for the average teen this would be a perfectly acceptable solution. But what about the teens who are already tormented? What do they do?

Christian jewelry has been popular for decades, and wearing it will not only allow the wearer to express their faith in a style that is perfectly acceptable among the high school students of today, the wide variety of jewelry available on the market allows them to express it in a way that is uniquely their own. The classic cross is not the only option available on the market anymore, and the possibilities are limitless!

In addition to jewelry allowing a Christian to express their faith and individuality simultaneously, it also offers to them the opportunity to share with their friends the joy they have found. After all, expressing faith through jewelry that is considered “hip” to even the most critical eye (and make no mistake, high school girls could put the fashion critics of Paris to shame) also goes to show that God is not only for the elderly. He is a part of everyone; he is here, and he is now.
