Excellent reasons to wear Christian clothes to work-1
There is a time and place for everything, and Christian clothes are no exception. Even if your workplace is not exactly faith friendly, you can still proudly wear your Christian attire on special occasions. Of course, there are plenty of other great reasons to wear Christian clothes to work too.
Take for instance, some workplaces definitely are faith friendly. Wearing Christian clothing to work in these places could only boost your reputation in their eyes. Although this would not be your main reason for wearing Christian attire. However, in the face of so many instances where faith-based attire might be looked down upon, a faith friendly workplace is a rare and welcome opportunity that you should take full advantage of – and consider yourself lucky!
Let's celebrate the Lord
What if your workplace isn't faith friendly? Well, there are still many occasions where you absolutely can and even should wear Christian attire. Christmas, for example. Nobody can object to tactful and beautiful clothing depicting Mary and baby Jesus – it is, after all, the entire reason for the holiday!
Don't forget all the other Christian holidays. Such as Advent, the beginning of the church year, observed starting on the Sunday closest to November 30th until the Sunday before Christmas. On December 26th, don't forget to give gifts to the less fortunate for Boxing Day. Although traditionally celebrated in Great Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, it's still a Christian holiday and a great opportunity to wear, or give, Christian clothes.
Not to mention St. Andrew's Day, Twelfth Night, St. Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Palm Sunday, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, and Thanksgiving. Although Thanksgiving isn't traditionally seen as a Christian holiday, remember it was the sharing of a meal between Christian pilgrims and Native Americans.
Worse come to worse
If your employer is especially unfriendly to Christian clothes, just stick to the officially declared national holidays. Also if you should happen to be unfortunate enough that you must work on a Sunday, you can silently protest by wearing Christian attire to let them know you would rather use this day to celebrate your faith.
Should your boss ask that you stop wearing the Christian clothes to work, ask for it in writing and take him to court. Religious discrimination is against the law, and some things are quite simply intolerable. The United States was founded on religious freedom – use that to your fullest advantage.
