Gospel For Asia's Maximum Mission Trip
I received a package today that came unexpectedly. The senders name and address were blocked by a badly placed shipping label, and although I was expecting a DVD to arrive shortly, unless there were several in the series this could not be that.
I took the package into my office and carefully cut open the package. It wasn't that I was frightened of Anthrax or other such substances, but I wanted to make sure I could send the package back to the company if this proved to be a 'free sample' that would try to hook me into a book or DVD collecting club. I pulled open the box top, and found a packing slip covering the goods. I removed it and took a look.
The label stated it was from a company I had not heard of before: Gospel For Asia (http://www.gfa.org). Upon the packing slip it stated that they had sent me five books to give away to those who would read them, and that I could order more to help spread their mission across my neighborhood if need be. Sure enough, there were five books inside, but also a DVD on what this organization was doing in this world besides.
I learned that basically their main goal is to 'plant' churches in as many unreached areas of he Asian world as possible. A noble mission statement, to be sure, but I wanted to know more information on this interesting organization. So I popped the DVD into my computer and watched it to understand more.
The DVD explained how they were traveling to the great country of India, and working on reaching what they called 'the unreachable.' They spoke about the countries main beliefs in Hinduism and Buddhist teachings. They also explained how there are over one-billion souls in this one country alone, desperate to hear God's truth and be saved by his Son, Jesus Christ.
I was impressed and felt that this was a grand-scale task they had taken upon themselves, but I also was reminded of the verse, “I can do ALL THINGS through Christ Jesus, Who strengthens me.” I found also that their recent mission plans are to establish more churches in this vast land, including inside on Nepal.
If you would like to help them achieve building and maintaining these churches, please visit their website. They have several videos and books you can purchase to help them out, as well as ways to serve as missionaries. There even is an option of sponsoring a missionary who is already in the area and doing great things. Seek the Lord and ask Him what He would have you do, and I pray that our Lord will fully bless you and your donation.
