Huge benefits of wearing Christian clothes around your friends
While some of your friends might be uncomfortable with someone wearing Christian clothing, this still opens up many great opportunities for conversation. Wearing something that provokes a question is an excellent way to start a conversation, and something so close to your heart, like a Christian clothing, is an absolutely wonderful idea.
Wearing Christian clothing is also a great way to re-affirm your faith, for many reasons. From picking out the perfect t-shirt in the store, to selecting the right one to wear today, Christian clothes in your wardrobe serve as a comforting reminder of God's love and all that He has given you. Not to mention how wonderful it feels to have that physical reminder of being clothed in God's love.
Additionally, once your friends are more comfortable about your Christian attire, they might start to ask questions. While it might take a bit of time or some gentle encouragement to let them feel comfortable asking questions about your Christianity and your Christian clothing, it's not all that difficult to do.
Broaching the topic of God
If your friends are nervously glancing to and from your Christian clothing, reassure them it's okay to look, and that you won't talk about religion if they don't want to – since they were obviously uncomfortable with letting you know they were curious. Nevertheless, the good news is, they're curious!
Once you have helped them to feel more comfortable about the Christian clothing, they are very likely to start asking questions about Christianity, or at the very least about your clothing. An inquisitive mind is an open mind, and here you have a great chance to spread the Word of God and the gifts He brings us.
Wearing Christian clothing not only helps you to start a conversation with anyone interested in Christianity, but gives you an excellent opportunity to gently broach the topic of religion when the other person is most comfortable. Of course, other Christians will be able to instantly recognize you, and you can easily pick up a conversation with them. Why not talk about the donation that was made to missionaries on your behalf, just for purchasing that Christian clothing?
The greatest benefit however, is when you can't answer their questions. This gives you an opportunity to go back to the Holy Scriptures or your preacher and discover yet more about your faith. The most powerful knowledge of all, is knowing that you don't know it all.
